.NET Web Developer
Job Description
BlueArc specialises in the design and building of websites, web applications, intranets and extranets. This role is part of the core development team that focuses on the back-end development using .NET 3.5 and SQL Server 2005/8. The team is focused across a number of key technologies including IgnitionSuite (BlueArc’s own content management system), Sitecore, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft CRM.
You will be working on building and delivering exciting new functionality in areas such as content management, e-commerce, search, social networking, and business workflow. Projects vary in size from a couple of weeks to three months plus. You will be exposed to new technologies and be expected to champion their uptake within the team.
We are looking for a bright individual that has been educated to degree level or above. You will have demonstrated a clear passion for programming that goes beyond your education and career to date.
Key Skills
- Minimum of 3 years software development experience
- Strong .NET and SQL Server coding skills
- Good understanding of content management systems (Sitecore would be particularly beneficial)
- Experience building a variety of public-facing websites
- Strong understanding and application of QA practices
- Good communication skills; written and oral
- Excellent academic grades including a Computer Science degree (or similar) from a well recognised University
Beneficial Skills
- Good specification and design skills
- Search engine optimisation
- Windows networking and security
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Microsoft certified professional
